Gas Peaking

Author: James Hartley-Bond

I am delighted to be providing planning advice to a number of clients for gas peaking plants. One of the things they particularly value is the insight I bring from working within developer/operator roles. Whether this may be considering implications for other consenting regimes such as the environmental permitting regulations or being able to share the experience of operational design issues from constructed sites in order to minimise the need for costly redesigns later, they see this as added value.

With the continued growth in the gas-fuelled backup sector, developers of these projects need to ensure that they are dealing with consultants who genuinely understand the issues associated with their development. With a greater focus on noise and, particularly air quality issues, a planning consultant who can mitigate risks before actively engaging with specialist consultants over a project is invaluable.

If you have a project you are considering, or if you have encountered difficulties with an existing project and just want to talk it through, Fuller Long can assist with this. We also cover other forms of energy development such as battery storage, energy from waste and renewable energy.
