We were approached through our website by Shin Kick Limited who are a successful Muay Thai Kick Boxing gym, who cater for all levels and ages. The gym was established 28 years ago by Jesse Saunders who has managed to create a very successful business. As they had outgrown their previous gym the company needed new premises to expand and deliver their sought after training, classes and activities.
Once they had found a site it became apparent that they needed to change the existing use of the building to accommodate a gym. This involved a change of use application from B8 to D2. They came to us for advice as the timescales involved were very tight given that it involved a potential lease with time constraints on both the landlord and our client.
We successfully project managed and submitted the application addressing all the issues that arose from the change of use from the existing commercial use, thus achieving the planning permission that they so badly needed for their business.
