How do I claim costs?

Through the planning appeal process you can submit a claim for costs if the local planning authority has behaved unreasonably in a manner which has lead you to unnecessary expense. Such reasons can include, for example, missing deadlines, providing incorrect information or failing to turn up for a site visit.
