Ana is a specialist in heritage conservation with over 12 years’ experience in the field as an archaeologist, conservator and project manager.
Ana earned her BA in archaeology from Boston University and her MA and MSc in cultural heritage conservation from University College London, and has undertaken archaeological field work in the UK, US, Syria and Spain. She began her career in the UK as a conservator with the British Museum before becoming a freelance conservator and heritage consultant in 2011.
Through her skills in material science, coupled with her public and private sector background, Ana has become expert in a range of heritage matters, from museum collections to building conservation.
In her day-to-day work, Ana predominantly advises surveyors, architects and principal contractors in the construction industry on listed property refurbishments. She specialises in preparing heritage statements and archaeological reviews, conducting condition surveys and impact assessments, and consulting on conservation issues.
